The CRU, located on D6/6 of University Hospital, continues to support research studies. Note, the entire D module of the 6th floor is HEPA filtered and patients with COVID-19 are cared for in a designated area of the hospital on a separate floor from the CRU.

- UW Health is regularly updating its Patient and Visitor Guidelines. Please inform research participants of this information as necessary.
OCT is providing modified research services for studies that are open to enrollment. COVID-19 trials are highest priority, and new trial work will remain paused until late fall.
- Research Coordinators are conducting remote study visits and face-to-face visits for studies that were approved during Phase 2 of the Research Reboot.
- Regulatory Services continue remotely. Similar to the HS IRBs prioritization plan, COVID-19 and compassionate use submissions receive precedence.
- Fiscal Services that can be addressed remotely continue. Ancillary services will be prioritized over the preparation of new study budgets.
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the drug supply chain and increased the demand for certain PRC services, such as shipping of investigational products to participants’ homes.
